UPPER-SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ CEREBRAL DOMINANCE AND LEARNING STYLES: THE MEDIATION OF CHRONOTYPES

Learning styles, cerebral dominance and chronotypes are among the factors that have been determined to be effective on individuals’ learning. It is stated in literature these three variables interrelated or affect each other. Therefore, aim of study determine extent which students’ predicts their learning styles whether an effect this level prediction as a moderating variable. In research, “Morningness-Eveningness Stability Scale improved” (MESSI), “Kolb Style Inventory” (KLSI) “Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument” (HBDI) were used data collection tools. The selection upper-secondary schools included sample was made district Antalya province with convenience sampling method. 593 students who agreed respond scale formed from 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade studying at 2021-2022 academic year. According analysis results structural equation model (SEM) obtained study, it concluded there significant positive correlations between sub-dimensions dominance; however, did not significantly mediate correlations. findings may provide implications for determining proven effects student performance teaching-learning process, and, by establishing relationships brain structures chronotypes, characteristics direct preferences.
